For as long as I can remember, I have always been trying to create the best artistic wedding photography in one form or another in Charlotte (North Carolina). I suppose it might have something to do with growing up in my grandparent’s house where my grandfather was a photographer and my grandmother was a painter. Fast forward a few yeas to seventh grade where I decided I was going to try and be the best graphic designer and I chose to name that endeavor, Human Graphics. As time passed and high school was drawing to a close, I was persuaded by my parents that there was no living to be made as an artist. So, going to college in Charlotte I pursued computers and science. Those were two areas in which I had great interest, but there always seemed to be something missing. I had always had a camera in my hand, but never could produce the image I had in my head. By the time I reached my late 20’s, I had taught myself the fundamentals of photography, which quickly grew into an incredible passion. I just couldn’t get enough at that point. I wanted to be a professional and best wedding photographer so bad I had an aching in my heart, literally. A few doctor visits later I came to realize that not chasing your true passions and dreams is not just heartbreaking, but it has a physical toll too. It was about that time I was introduced to a great friend of mine who was a wedding photographer in Charlotte and he had talked me into going to a few weddings with him. Next thing I knew I was buying more equipment and shooting weddings. After I came home from the first few, I quickly realized how incredibly rewarding it was creating art from some of the most important events and memories of a family’s lifetime. At that point, I was hooked and my wedding photography career was born.
